Notice of Municipal General Election
In accordance with O.C.G.A. §21-2-132, notice is hereby given that the City of Eatonton will hold a Municipal General Election on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 for the offices of Mayor, Councilmember – At Large, Councilmember – Wards 1 & 4, and Councilmember – Wards 2 & 3.
Qualifying for said election will take place in the office of City Clerk at City Hall, located at 201 North Jefferson Avenue, Eatonton, GA 31024 on the following dates:
Monday, August 19, 2019 (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM)
Tuesday, August 20, 2019 (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM)
Wednesday, August 21, 2019 (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM)
Qualifying fees are fixed as follows:
Mayor – $360
Councilmember – At Large – $198
Councilmember – Wards 1 & 4 – $198
Councilmember – Wards 2 & 3 – $198
The last day to register to vote in this election will be Monday, October 7, 2019. The polls will be open on Election Day from 7:00 AM until 7:00 PM. A runoff election, if necessary, will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2019.
