CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER/CITY MARSHAL
The City of Eatonton, Georgia is seeking experienced and qualified candidates for the position of Code Enforcement Officer/City Marshal.
This position is responsible for enforcing the City of Eatonton’s ordinances relating to signs, occupational tax registration, building and building regulations, erosion control, public nuisance, and other duties as may be assigned. The successful candidate must have knowledge of the City’s ordinances and have skill in public relations, in preparing technical reports and correspondence, in planning and organizing work, in preparing cases for and testifying in court, and in accomplishing assigned tasks. P.O.S.T. law enforcement certification is preferred.
This is a full-time position and compensation will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and the current City pay scale. Candidates must provide a seven-year driver’s history from the Georgia Department of Driver Services and a copy of their current driver’s license. The successful candidate must agree to pre-employment and periodic drug screenings.
