Notice – Downtown Development Authority

NOTICE

The City of Eatonton is accepting applications from interested individuals to fill four vacancies on the EATONTON DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY. To be eligible for appointment, a person shall be:

  • A taxpayer residing in the City of Eatonton; and/or
  • An owner or operator of a business located in the downtown development area who is a taxpaying resident of Putnam County, Georgia.

Note: One member of the Authority may reside outside the county (but within the State of Georgia) provided they own or operate a business in the downtown development area.

Members of the Eatonton Downtown Development Authority should have or represent a party that has an economic interest in downtown Eatonton and should be dedicated, fair minded, not self-serving, and willing to devote the time necessary for the position. Successful candidates must attend state mandated training within the first twelve months of appointment.
