To Our Valued Customers:
On February 7, 2023, the City Council and I unanimously approved a utility bill credit in the amount of $100.00 per account for all Eatonton customers with active gas and/or garbage service. This one-time credit will be applied to the February 2023 utility bills (that are due by March 15, 2023). Customers who live in Gray and Haddock are not eligible to receive this credit.
The City Council and I appropriated $200,000.00 from American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to provide this assistance to citizens and businesses in an effort to help offset the negative economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. We strongly believe that this is one of the best ways to utilize this once-in-ageneration funding opportunity to support post-COVID-19 recovery in our community and are pleased to use these funds to directly benefit our citizens.
